    Brottier Hall is a great place to call home! It is exclusively available to Duquesne University junior, senior, graduate, and professional students looking to apply.
  • +Are there other application requirements other than class standing?

    Yes. In addition to a completed application, students must have a $0 university account balance and successfully submit their $300 housing deposit through Student Accounts.
  • +Can I take a tour before I apply?

    In person tours are offered and encouraged! Sign up through our Campus Link page to book a tour! During the tour prospective residents will meet with Brottier Hall staff who will lead tours through the common areas of the building and view a unit.
  • +How does the application process work?

    Applying to live at Brottier Hall is a simple 6-step process from start to finish.

    1. Attend a virtual Q&A session or drop by for a tour.

    2. Select your roommate(s) (unless you are applying for a studio single).

    3. Complete an online application.

    4. Submit the $300 housing deposit.

    5. Receive an electronic room lottery number.

    6. Attend the mandatory room selection event or send a proxy in your place to pick your unit.

  • +Does my financial aid qualify at Brottier Hall?

    Yes. If you’re the recipient of an on-campus housing award, it will automatically be applied to the rental bill you receive each semester which is issued by the Student Accounts Office. Any scholarships, payment plans, or financial aid specific to your account will also be reflected.
  • +How long are leases?

    Leases at Brottier Hall are designed to allow students to reside in their apartments for 11.5 months at a time. Leases begin in August and run through July of the following year. Eligible residents are able to renew in their current unit. This means not having to worry about moving out your belongings from year to year!
  • +What amenities does Brottier Hall provide residents?

    Brottier Hall is a great place to live and enjoy your free time too. Residents who call Brottier Hall home enjoy access to a 24-hour fitness center, front desk, and emergency maintenance. Additionally, residents can enjoy access to an expansive patio and terrace with outdoor games, grills, and seating. All residents have access to the bright kitchenette as well as a Study Lounge with private study pods and printer. Inclusive utilities, Amazon Hub/mail services, and free communal laundry make Brottier Hall an amazing place to call home.

    Yes. Limited underground parking spots are available to residents. These spaces are reserved via a separate application process. Details on this process are provided in June to incoming residents.
  • +Can my pet live with me at Brottier Hall?

    Unfortunately, no. Pets other than fish are not allowed at Brottier Hall.
