At Brottier Hall, traditional student housing isn’t the standard. Instead, we prioritize an elevated living experience. Our versatile, comfortable, and convenient apartment-style units are built under the umbrella of a larger community focus that pairs academic excellence with home-inspired comforts.
Catering to Duquesne University juniors, seniors, graduate, and professional students, Brottier Hall can accommodate up to 670 residents. Management at Brottier Hall is dedicated to providing residents with a premier on-campus living experience through the inclusion of amazing amenities, dedicated care, and incredible quality service at every turn.
Take Time to Tour Our Building
Picking your next home is a big decision and we encourage every prospective resident to take advantage of our tour opportunities at Brottier Hall. In person tours of Brottier Hall In person tours are offered and encouraged! Sign up through our Campus Link page to book a tour!
During the tour prospective residents will meet with Brottier Hall staff who will lead tours through the common areas of the building and view a unit.
Floor Plan Preferences
The process for residency at Brottier Hall starts with an online application. At this time, prospective residents can indicate their roommate choices as well as their floor plan preferences. There are plenty of options from which to choose!
Those interested in living at Brottier Hall can pick and choose between studio doubles, studio singles, one-bedroom doubles or triples, and two-bedroom quads. The Brottier Hall Room Selection process takes place in February. A straightforward lottery system allows residents to select a room.
Students are encouraged to apply at any time! Brottier Hall assists residents with lease transfers in the case of graduation, study abroad, clinicals/rotations, or other academic reasons that would take our residents away from campus.
Lease Specifics
Prospective residents of Brottier Hall should be aware that lease agreements are binding for 11.5 months at a time. This timeframe runs between August and July of the following year.
Appealing Amenities
Your time at Brottier Hall promises to be convenient, comfortable, and fun too! Our building offers residents access to a variety of appealing amenities including a 24-hour fitness center to keep healthy living a priority, an outdoor patio and terrace to enjoy fresh-air, and a community kitchenette for added social value.
Access to private study pods in the study lounge is much appreciated by our academically focused residents while 24-hour front desk and emergency maintenance services keep everyone feeling safe, secure, and comfortable. Residents of Brottier Hall also have access to free communal laundry services and mailboxes/package lockers within the building.
Limited underground parking spots are available to residents. These spaces are reserved via a separate application process. Details on this process are provided in June to incoming residents.
